At Cocotte Minute, hospitality is more than a profession — it’s part of our family’s story.
My brother and I grew up in and around our parents’ restaurants in north-west France, learning from an early age what it means to welcome guests, work hard, and take pride in serving exceptional food. Hospitality wasn’t something we discovered later in life; it was woven into our upbringing.
Our family’s roots run deep through the regions of Brittany and La Mayenne, particularly around Dinard, Rennes and the surrounding areas. For generations, food and hospitality have been at the heart of what we do. My grandparents and great-grandparents were butchers and caterers, dedicated to sourcing and preparing quality ingredients long before provenance became a culinary buzzword. My great-aunt and uncle were respected hoteliers and restaurateurs, continuing a family tradition built on good food, warm welcomes and genuine care for every guest.
That legacy continues today. My brother has gone on to become an award-winning chef and restaurateur, carrying our family’s passion for food into a new generation.
For me, those values have shaped an entire career in hospitality. Over the years, I have had the privilege of managing and operating successful restaurants and pubs, always guided by the same belief: exceptional food should be matched by genuinely warm, attentive service.
Together with my wife, Charlotte, we are delighted to bring that experience to Cocotte Minute.
Our vision is simple: to create a true French neighbourhood restaurant where classic dishes, carefully sourced ingredients and authentic hospitality come together in a relaxed and welcoming setting. A place where friends gather, families celebrate, and every guest feels at home.
We’re not trying to reinvent French cuisine. Instead, we’re celebrating the food we grew up with, the traditions we cherish, and the hospitality that has been part of our family for generations.
